Mountain biking on the BikePath? Down I go and Full moon Night Hike

A long week for me at work, after work doing work from home, getting workouts done and just being stressed most of the week was not so great. That and the weather here again turned snowy and cloudy.
I sucked it up like a man and went outside to ride my mountain bike with the worst set of tires to use in snow. My first attempt at tubeless, so I just haven't taken them off. I suppose if it snows again, I will bite it and take them off. I decided with the salt and amount of wind and cold out Saturday and Sunday, to just hit the bike path on the old mountain bike and see if I could get in 5 hours this weekend. Check. I bit it hard both days in the snotty snow and now feel like someone pushed me out of a car at about 25 mph.
My wife's family invited us on a winter Full Moon hike at a really great park. Ended up a 3 mile hike in somewhat deep snow, in the almost pitch black of night. With all the snow it wasn't too bad. But I was off the back, bigtime. Getting un hitched and bonking on a simple hike sure is humbling. I guess I should have eaten more.
out a here
