I Love the Giro Bike Race -Tour of California - Yellow to Black

Every year I seek out time to watch the Giro on my computer or listen in at work when time permits.
Last year I became a super fan of this race. As much as I love the Tour, I think the Giro is a much harder race and less of a circus.
I am enjoying the Giro yet again this year and was on the edge of my chair
most of this morning watching Stage 14.
I am very disappointed and sad all-many of the sprinters left this race, I am not sure Cav and Petachi all deserve my respect after they bailed. Seems a half-assed approach to being a pro cyclists. You are given an opportunity to ride/race, well, grow a pair, man - and race your bike.
I still think someone is riding themselves into too much attention and will be removed from racing at the 2011 Tour. I'll give you one guess. Top level athletes can't consistently (day-to-day) ride away and I mean ride away from the rest of the pack. It's just not that possible. Additionally, Alberto is just not that smart.
The 2011 Tour of California is on this week as well, I've been glued to the TV-versus this week watching the coverage, reducing my nightly sleep. It's been great and I am super stoked for Horner to be leading. His ride 2 days ago and his TT efforts were top notch for a 40-year-old. He's always been one of the smartest Pro peloton riders and certainly deserves the overall win over RobotLevi. T.Phinney is riding himself into a top 10. Hope he's hitting the TDF this year!

On another note, 60 Minutes this Sunday will highlight some old and new information from Tyler H and Landis about the fact LA is a doper, was a doper, and asked others on his teams to be dopers. I am not a hater of LA, just a realist. He's been jingling the key's
Hi, I am a DOPER
over there (re-direct) for many years with his mission for cancer. I do appriciate and applaud his efforts to bring money and solution to the awful disease, but I truly think, he's used it to provide a teter-toter balance to his ilegal doping activities. Attention: LA sheep followers - how can everyone that ever raced for him and against him all be dopers and keep up with him from an athletic performance and the MAN himself not be doping. Logical - guilty by association. I saw no S on his chest, therefore he is not Superman.

Astana's Bike's being Stolen > A HOAX

"You know what grinds my gears" - Peter Griffin
It's just my little epiphany today. I am thinking that the whole Astana stolen bikes thing including Lance's TT bike, was a complete and utter poor attempt at some needed promotions to the Trek Brand. That's right, I JUST said it, it JUST happened.

Their sales must really be suffering to pull that stunt. I think their bikes are over priced along with their overpriced Bontrager stuff. Under that umbrella is the Gary Fisher brand, which I do like, but again some of this Trek/bonty stuff is like Bose', just way way over priced and over hyped for what it is, still bike parts.

I might equate it to some up and coming movie star or musician or band making a big scene at a concert, or premiere just to get their faces plastered on some news publication or TMZ.
I thought about it for a few days, actually, wondering if I was just being Mr. conspiracy theory or not. But, now, I say it was bullcrap and they did it for the team name, they did it to promote and get more attention focused at Lance and the Astana team. Lance is an attention hound, I find it pretty gross actually. Why else would the guy update his twitter page every 30 seconds, allow so many interviews during the Tour of California and the last few months. I don't think he could stand the lack of attention during his retirement, hence bringing him out of retirement. ick.
Wow, the bikes just showed up a day later - how weird, how did that happen.
What did you say? Lance's TT bike showed up at the policia station down the road from the race? crazy you say, that is crazy talk man! No it didn't. How could it, those "thieves" took it from our unmarked trailer that was attached to the large $100,000 tour bus with Astana right on the side? how could anyone have known what was in that trailer?
best part, all the magazines, newspapers, press, media and websites all bought it.
What's next?
