Giro d' Italia - live on Universal Sports
The 2009 Giro d' Italia is live on Universal Sports. Rumor has it they purchased the rights for broadcast for 3 years. This is good. Now, if I can just get my iMac hooked up to my TV. I can watch it on a 42" screen. The coverage is excellent. I have a theory, Team Garmin went for the Time Trial win, since they knew they might not be able to compete otherwise. I am still rooting for them and Team Columbia. Horner is riding very strong. Go Chris. Funny, Astana's jersey's/kit's have almost gone blank and Lance's bike is getting more obnoxious by the day. Ewwww. WTF. There, I posted the first and last photo of Lance on my blog. Other interesting notes, Basso, has been out for two years of racing and is sitting top 12. Lance out for 4 years not even in the top 20 at this point. hmmmm. My opinion is out on DiLuca. We'll see if he can hang in the next two weeks.

Troy Classic & Tour d' Burg - Bike Racing this weekend
Heading out Saturday a.m. for some 3/4 racing in Troy at the famous Troy Classic. I even booked a hotel for the night, so I can get some R & R and hit the Tour D' Burg race on Sunday. Planning on participating in the CAT 3/4 race Sat, and the CAT 4 on sunday. We'll see how things play out, the legs feel good today and I feel pretty rested. I am sure the fields will be large both days, some race both, others come and throw down for one day or the other. These are pretty much the last of the "big" races of the season. I will be spending some needed time on the mountain bike and then getting the cross bike in shape for some training. I need a trip to Lake Hope for some swimming and riding.
