Ohio Valley Racing Spring Road Racing Lynchburg Road Race – 4-13-2008
This race was indeed hurtful, rainy and windy. Lots of silliness again with the team abundance/amthem  co; blocking and coming up front to slow the group down for their guys riding up the road again. Well, next week there are some partnerships planned with Campus Cyclery and Darkhorse and Me! I will try to get Dave E. out there to help too. We are all tired of those guys playing the 'go off the front' and ruin it for us :) to get a higher finish. I understand it’s a way to win, but sitting three wide on the road is not very pro.

I let them seriously get the best of me yesterday and took a big flyer off the front lap 2; I even used some potty language when I blew through them, since they were blocking the road three wide. I learned my lesson, but was just so frustrated no one else in my group would work to get up the road, no rotations on the front to get us to catch the break, and sick of sitting back. I guess I was a little cranky/tired and let it get the best of me; my flyer was costly I think in the end. They were again, blocking, even mid pack, marking me and the Campus Cyclery guys, so when the last turn came around, I was in a bad spot too far back at the turn to stay on the right wheels.

But at least I recognize what not to do and where to be next time right? I ended with a decent finish in 13th place.
My confidence in racing is up - power and ability to push and push and have a high HR are getting better each week.
