Cross Practices have begun

My first 30 min effort at editing and what not with my new small compact video camera. I managed to get it mounted on my cross bike during my beach vacation last week, but it was a little shaky and the mount wasn't the best solution. I'll be working on it in the coming weeks. Hopefully, I'll get more skilled with the video work and get the mount figured out. Not sure I want to race with the camera on the bike, but practices weekly here, should provide enough video.

Columbus Ohio Cyclocross Practice Video - Miss in' out

Dang it - See what I missed last night.
I can't believe they had music playing during practice. that's pretty cool. Ha
Sounds like the Pogues even.
Looks like my kind of course too.
It would have included a ride home in the dark as well, as it was my run was in the dark.

I got a Boo Boo at Cyclocross practice

Official Tuesday Night Cross Practice #2 - CHECK
First cross Injury - Check
I have no idea how it happened - check
ready for more pain sir - check
what only three practice races tonight with three laps each? I was ready for a fourth. Now if I could only wind down and go to sleep before midnight. What a great practice tonight I think there was over 24 or so there. Amazing. Enough to do four groups. Good times had by all, Rish and Jon out did themselves with the course today. it was so cool and hard. Lots of bumpy grass, some baseball diamond sand, with a route through the fence behind home plate, a big single track woods section with some pretty technical uphills, and a few up the steep sloppy grass hill around a tree in the "granny" gear.
I did one A race and two B races. My fitness is getting there and the bike feels so solid, even with my training wheelset. More running planned this week and some more sleep, I should feel great by the time Sunday's first Cross race comes around. I added my workout graph - you can plainly see the races and efforts required. It's pretty cool.

A sneak peek photo at my new cross frame on the way (although mine is a different color)
- should be here by Friday, cross your fingers, no pun intended.
